Payment Options for the Portland School of Hypnosis Courses

Payment Arrangements

The Portland School of Hypnosis offers payment arrangements via ACH debit.

ACH debit payments don't require credit approval and are a contractual agreement between you and the Portland School of Hypnosis. Some points to keep in mind regarding ACH debit:

  • The final payment must be made prior to the end of the course
  • Payments are taken from your bank account automatically via ACH debit

ACH Debit Option Details

If you are interested in making payments on the tuition for the Portland School of Hypnosis courses, payment arrangements, via automatic bank account debit, are available. This page provides the formula for calculating your payments, along with some examples, so you can get an idea of what your monthly payment will be.

The examples provided on this page are just that - examples - and do not necessarily reflect the current tuition numbers.

Please contact Debbie Taylor through the contact form on this page, or call 503.312.4660 to discuss the best payment plan for you. Payment arrangements need to be finalized no less than 3 business days prior to the first day of the course.

Please Note: The final payment is always due no later than the last day of the course, unless special arrangements have been made at the time the agreement is entered into.

The Formula

( ( tuition - registration fee ) / number of payments * 1.02 ) rounded up to the nearest whole dollar.

Explanation: The tuition price, minus the registration fee, is the amount being financed. The number of payments is the number of months until the balance must be paid off. The 2% charge is to defray the cost of the ACH debit which we incur.

The registration fee for the course, as explained here, is $295. If you wish to make a larger down payment, and thus lower your monthly payments, you may make an additional payment at the time of entering into the agreement.

Example 1 - Full Tuition, Minimum Down, and 3 Monthly Payments

Tuition of $2,995 minus registration fee of $295 = $2,700 to be financed. $2,700 / 3 * 1.02 = $918. So, your payments would be $918 per month for 3 months.

The examples provided on this page are just that - examples - and do not necessarily reflect the current tuition numbers.

Example 2 - Full Tuition, Minimum Down, and 4 Monthly Payments

Tuition of $2,995 minus registration fee of $295 = $2,700 to be financed. $2,700 / 4 * 1.02 (rounded up to whole dollar) = $689. So, your payments would be $689 per month for 4 months.

The examples provided on this page are just that - examples - and do not necessarily reflect the current tuition numbers.

Example 3 - Full Tuition, Down Payment of $720 (includes $295 registration fee), 3 Monthly Payments

Tuition of $2,995 - down payment of $720 = $2,275 to be financed. $2,275 / 3 * 1.02 (rounded up to whole dollar) = $774. So, in this example, you have already paid your $295 registration fee. You pay an additional $425 at the time of entering into the agreement and then have 3 monthly payments of $774.

Example 4 - Take advantage of the Early Bird Price and Save $200 off the tuition!

In this example, in order to take advantage of the Early Bird Price, the final payment must be received prior to the Early Bird expiration date for the Session being enrolled in. For example: Let's say that the session you want to enroll in begins September 14th. The Early Bird Price expires at midnight 2 weeks prior to that date. In this example that would be August 31. So, the final payment would need to be received no later than August 31st. If that date falls on a weekend or a holiday, the payment would be due the last business day prior.

Early Bird Tuition, Minimum Down, and 4 Monthly Payments

Let's say you have 4 months to pay off the tuition in order to get the Early Bird Price. The Early Bird tuition is $2,795. You make your registration fee of $295, leaving $2,500 to finance. $2,500 / 4 * 1.02 (rounded up to whole dollar) = $638. So, your payments would be $638 per month for 4 months, with the final payment due two weeks prior to the start date.

Summary

Hopefully the examples on this page will give you an idea of what kind of monthly payments you can expect under a variety of conditions. The main things to keep in mind are: if you want lower monthly payments you must either give yourself more time to pay and/or make a larger down payment. Planning in advance could mean significant savings, so if you're are considering enrolling in an upcoming Session, and would like to make payments on the balance of the tuition, contact Debbie Taylor at your earliest convenience via the contact form on this page, or or call 503.312.4660 and get the ball rolling!
